Are these not compatible? I was really hoping, after last years catostrophic results and multiple server deaths, to avoid yet another Vault Server migration this year. All I want to do is evaluate the new Client.

And now Vault 2013 Client shows..... nothing. No files, no items.... nothing. It is in the process of trying to crash, but can't even seem to pull that off. Going to have to kill the app. Reboot and try again...
EDIT: Items appear, but no files. File store is empty! On the server side, visually verified that Filestore files are still there. Database messed up somehow. Help?!

The 2014 Vault Client cannot connect to an older server version.
For your issue, according to the log file, you do not have Update 1 installed. WHen you installed Vault 2014 you probably installed .NET 4.5.
You can either uninstall .NET 4.5 or Install Update 1 ro resolve your file viewing issue.

That is a bummer, I just wanted to see some of the new functionality. Guess we'll have to make an executive decision first.
Thanks for the tip on .net, I figured it was something like that. I am unloading it now, and for good measure will load Update 1 as well. I'll report back when that's completed, and everything is restarted.

Thank you for your help. I might add, however, that I also had to re-install .net 4.0 fro MS website.
I also loaded the update to both Vault client and server just so I'd be up to date. A few reboots later and it looks like I'm back in business.
