Vault Non User File Access?

Is there  anyway that our non-vault users can preview our CAD data? We have 2 guys using Vault Basic and around 5 guys that need to preview the files. I tried to install the vault client on their local machine but it won't install without a qualified CAD application. I'm looking for a work-around so that our non vault users can use some sort of file viewer to see our drawings.

Thanks

If you are using Vault Basic, the non-cad users can access the data if you will use the Vault mirror.  What this does is it will copy the entire vault data to a location that they can access.  You can set up the mirror so that it updates the files on a regular basis, so when there is a change to the files, the files in the mirror are updated also.

You can read more about it in the app store here.  There is also a seperate forum for Vault Mirror questions here.

In addition to Kirk's suggestion, you can turn on the option for creation of visualisation files (DWF) on file check-in and mirror that file structure to a networked location. Then the other users can use Design Review to look at and redline (markup) drawings, and they can also look at the part and assembly files.
