Before Vault 2012 completes installation an error message flags up while the languages section is installing. The following flags up:
Error 29001. Vault Management error: Could not load file or assembley 'IFilterWrapper' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

I recently ran into this issue while building a Vault test server. Check that the application pool in IIS that Vault is using has the option for enabling 32 bit applications set to "True".
In my case it was the "DefautAppPool". The option is under Advanced settings. Second from the top "Enable 32 bit Applications" = True.
Once I did this and did a Stop > Start on the application pool my install completed without issue.
