Vault 2011 tab not showing up in Microsoft Office 2010

I just installed Inventor Suite 2011 with Vault on a new machine that has Microsoft Office Pro 2010 installed. The "Autodesk Vault" menu tab does not show up in Word like it does with Office 2007. I went to Add/Remove Features from the Control Panel/Programs setting in Vault to see if it missed the Office addon, but it does not list the Office option at all. Any advise? Thanks

EDIT: I have added a screenshot to help explain better.

Hi Sysprod,

Sorry to let you that there is currently no vault add-in support for Microsoft Office 2010.

Chear,

Thanks for the info. Is there an expected date to when Office 2010 will be incorporated?

Thanks.

great!!! what is the solution and when will it be fixed?

at the moment we have half off our documents in vault and the other half not. this is not a very good way to use the files and why would a version be released without it working under all verions?

seems to be a common problem with auto desk, not making sure there programs work under all versions and situations

i am happy to discuss this further with anyone.

Hi geoffrey,

We appreciate your patience in this matter. The request has been channeled to respective team.

Meanwhile, you may consider either one of the following workflow, which best fits your working style:

I) Via Vault Client, select to the vaulted office document, Right Mouse Button (RMB) > Open,

Press 'Yes' when prompted to check out the file.

Or,

ii) Via Vault Client, select to the vaulted office document, RMB > Get/Check Out the file,

Open the checked-out file via window explorer.

Once you're done with editing, check the files back via Vault Client.

Tips: Creating shortcuts of Vault Folder will help navigation to the frequently used documents a much faster/easier task. This can be done via RMB on selected vault folder > Create Shortcuts. Created shortcuts will be placed in 'My Shortcuts' pane.

Again, appreciate your understanding.

Rgds,

Chear Huat.

I am using a 32 bit machine. Ever since we upgraded to Windows 7 with Office 2010 we no longer have the Vault tab in any of the Office programs.
