Turn back revision Number

I what to turn the revision number on several files back one letter. They've been moved in and out of Released without any modification. In 2010 I was able to use the Revise Button in Vault to sync the Rev letter from the file, Using <From user defined properties>  that doesn't seem to work in 2011. Am I missing property mapping that's changed from 2010 to 2011?

For the read from file option to work in 2011 you need to create a Property and map it as read only to the property you wish to read in.

This was a change that was necessary due to modifications to properties in 2011.

Also I am not sure that this will work as a way to move the revision of the files back.

If the revision letter has already been used perviously by that file the system will not let you use it again.

Currently file revisions in Vault do not support a "roll back" functionality.

A "roll back" or "abandon" Revision function would be a great wishlist item for a future release.
