Hello everybody,
I've run into the problem which have a croud of people - relationship between UDP "Rev Number"
and "Revision" system property.
I can't populate Revision into .idw drawing.
I've set up this configuration:
- UDP "Rev Number" has Autodesk default configuration mapping, i.e.
Entry Provider File Property Type Classification Mapping Create
File Inventor Rev Number Text Standard Vault<->Document Yes
UDP "Rev Number" is associated to relevant categories, of course.
- System property Revision mapping is:
Entry Provider File Property Type Classification Mapping Create
File Inventor Rev Number Text Standard Vault-->Document No
Notice: I've managed mapping with a new file in Vault.
The same Revision configuration described e.g. Max Bodnar in his report "Revision mapping"
in 11-07-2011 here at the Vault forum.
Then I check in some new .ipt plus .idw to the Vault, UDP property for .idw has "Rev Number"
from .idw Inventor template. It's all right.
After running through the .ipt livecycle (together with .idw) the Revision number
is increased, but UDP "Rev Number" in .idw is still the same. After sync properties it's the
same too.
There is an old value there. What surprise!
Important notes: I haven't got Property compliance: Noncompliant equivalence, fortunately.
Recreating the Revision mapping doesn't help.
It doesn't work, it's all.
Could you happen to know how solve this neverending problem?
Enjoy your day.
