Possible to delete Change Order numbering scheme?

We are about to start Change Orders next week in Vault, so I've been testing all the "what if'" stuff with creating our ECN form. Now that I've got a numbering scheme I want, I need to delete the others I made that I don't need anymore. Problem is they were used in creating "test" Change Orders and now I can't delete the numbering scheme(s). Even after deleting ALL the Change Orders we've made during our testing.

So now that I'm ready to roll this out to everyone and do training next week, I'm going to have a bunch of junk numbering schemes in the options for them to pick from. PLEASE tell me there is some way I can delete these numbering schemes!!

Regards,
Kenny

Did you ever a find solution to this?

It is my understanding that you cannot remove those or reset the counter back on them.  You can disable them so that they are not available for the users to select.  My experience has been to test using a dummy set of numbers, then when everyone is happy, turn on the real numbering sequence.  I'm sorry that this does not help you, but it's more for the others who may read this in the future.

Thanks,
Mark

As @mark.cloyed indicated this is not possible..  Once you create a numbering scheme and use it there's no turning back the clock.

My question has always been when I hear things like this...   Why didn't you create a test vault to test these types things until you're ready.  Why do this in a live/product vault that the user's will be accessing.   But that's my opinion.  Smiley Wink

@Mark.Lancaster I do use Test vaults ;). This problem happened because I had created some test numbering schemes and when our reseller vault specialists helped with the ECO implementation, he by accident copied over all of the schemes I had originally created in the test vault. Not that it was his fault as I should have specified better but after it was implemented there was no way to delete them.

When we went to a new virtual server last year, I had them remove these test numbering schemes. I don't think they simply made them invisible as they are not anywnere within the change order number schemes list. If they had them removed I'll let you know how they did it.

Understood..  I can only go off what I read here in these postings...  Smiley Wink

Word of caution...  When you start modifying the SQL database which it sounds like that's what happened to remove the numbering scheme.  Autodesk can tell you they will no longer support you.  So keep that in mind..  Smiley Wink

@Mark.Lancaster I'm not entirely sure if they edited the SQL database but as far as I can tell that would be the only way I'm aware of removing it. Yes we were aware of the risks but I kind of look at it like most other things can be removed from the database, I just don't understand why the numbering scheme can't, especially if there is no history. If there was history I sort of could understand.
