Migrating Vault 2011 client custom views, saved searches etc to 2012

Dear all,

We are planning an upgrade to vault Professional 2012. We have setup quite a few custom views, saved searches etc to the vault 2011 clients, that we would like to migrate to 2012, is this possible? Knowing that vault client will install independently for each version, the answer will probably be no.

If so, how can I copy the settings from one client, and deploy them to the whole user base? By copying the folder %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Vault Professional 2012 and deploying it, will I get the result I'm hoping for?

Thanks in advance

Nikos

To answer the second part of my enquiry, I tried copying the followinng folders

%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Vault Professional 2012

%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ProductStream\2012

and.... it didn't work. Where does Vault 2012 save the user preferences?

Ok, it seems that %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Vault Common is the right folder to deploy.

The first part of the question remains, can I migrate the settings from vault 2011 to vault 2012?

Regards
