Job Processor ignores DWF.create job (DWG AutoCAD)

Any suggestions why Job Processor (VP2013SP1) executed on PC with installed AutoCAD 2013 and DWG TrueView 2013 could ignore the {DWF.create:*.dwg} job?

The "Update Local" works just fine.

in JobProcessor.exe.config there are 6 lines that contain "DWG". Only two of them are about DWF and there is no AutoCAD or Trueview mentioned in them:

<jobHandler class="Autodesk.Vault.DWF.Create.dwg" handler="Connectivity.Explorer.JobHandlerDwfPublish.InventorDwfJobHandler, Connectivity.Explorer.JobHandlerDwfPublish"/>

<queueDwfCreateJob extension=".dwg"/>

Do I have some corrupt config file?

Hi uma,

Could you help to elaborate on 'DWG job creation' is being ignored?

Meanwhile, you might do a simple workflow check, to determine if Job Processor is indeed working.

1. Run Job Processor in your local machine, via Start > Autodesk > Autodesk Data Management > Tools > Autodesk Job Processor.

2. Via ACAD (as reported in you case), check in a simple dwg file, and send the dwf publishing job to job server (via Check In > Settings > Send to Job Server )

3. Via Vault Client, check if the DWF file has indeed been created. You might have to turn on VE > Option > Show hidden file, to examine dwf/dwfx file.

Let us know if that helps...

Thanks

Thats the problem - job stays in queue with pending status.

At the same time DWF.create jobs for Inventor files are processed just fine....

Could you send us the config file, and also help to validate if job type 'autodesk.vault.dwf.create.dwg' is checked (should be, by default) in Job Processor > Administration > Job type?

thanks.

Hi

just examained your config file, it seems okay -- except a couple of commented line (see attached for the original config file) which shall not affect the running of job processor. You could try to rename your current config file and place the attached config file (default) in the same location. Let us know if you're still seeing the sam problem.

Also, you should be able to find JobProcessor.log in the same folder of config file. Could you identify which time that you experience the said error, and attach the log file along?

Appreciate your patience...

Regards,
Chear Huat.

With your config the problem still actual.

The job just stays in queue with "Pending" status.

Log file contains no new lines since 6 Jan.

Hi Uma,

One more validation: could you start and run TrueView 2013?

under the hook, Job Processor uses True View for DWF publishing job of ACAD drawign files.

Yes - DWG Trueview 2013 starts susscessfully.

And yes - AutoCAD DWG files could be opened with it.

Do you have a secondary machine that allows you to do some cross-checking.

It could be an isolated case, and is machine specified.

It is not an isolated issue.

At least one more PC ignores this kind of jobs.

The list of software used on success attempt:

Win7 64 bit Corporate edition (all updates installed)
