File update status question

ok i will explain the scenerio first then the question.

i have a part, just a simple square. i save and check it into vault

i start a new part and derive the first part into this. save and check it in.

i start a new drawing of the 2nd part(which is just a derived part of the 1st part) and save and check it in.

now the question.

if i make a change to the very first part, save and check it into vault then look at the drawing. Is there anyway by just looking at the drawing(pretend i didnt know i made any changes) to be notified that this drawing is not up to date?

thanks for any and all help!

Joe

Hi Joe,

Yes. In the Vault Client when you view the drawing we show a warning like below. Hope this helps.
