Effective item no longer available in web client when item changes to WIP

I've got this situation with items:
When a released item goes to the state WIP, then the effective release becomes superseded. In the Webclient we only show effective released items, not superseded. The workshop can not see the effective item anymore. This problem is for some items, not all. Have anyone seen this before?
Note: It is a migrated Vault Pro 2012 (comes from Productstream 2009, migated to VP2011 then to VP2012).

Any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks

Danny

Hi Danny,

When you change state from Release to WIP, did you check the option:"Skip Revision Bump"? If keep this option not checked, I haven't seen your problem.

Thanks,
Lily

Hi Lily,

In some cases the 'skip bump' is used (with reason, ofcourse). Is it something we can fix?

Hi Danny,

If you checked the option"Skip revision bump", for example, you change B:Release->B:WIP.

You won't see B:Release any more. But you can still see A:release if you uncheck "only show effective release".

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Lily

Hi Lily,

Thanks for your reply.

Because of company security policies is your suggestion not possible.

Only the effective release must be available, not older releases.

Thanks.

Danny
