Hi
Using Vault Professional 2014.
I am trying to add user properties to dwf file with no luck. I created a user property and can change for other filetypes but not dwf.
Are all DWF files locked for editing on user properties????
The DWF file is not a visualization file of a dwg file.

If the dwf file is not a visualization... where did it come from. This may have some bearing. I am able to edit UDP's on a dwf file that is a visualization.

Hi
The dwf file is created from a dwg that I don't have. A contractor created the dwf that I then put into my Vault. I can't either change the data for visualization DWF nor dwfx files.

I was able to to this when I was testing Vault 2013 Collaboration AEC

I have to be perfectly honest... I don't know why this is. It works just fine here, and I haven't been able to find any settings that specifically cover properties on dwf files. On your first post... look for a button that says "Need an Answer". This will escalate your question to tech support guys,... hopefully one of them knows something. Sorry.

Hi
I am not able to find this "Need an answer" button.

Is it not at the bottom of the message?
I'm not sure it's on every post.

we are a subscription customer but I have not been able to send support requests. I am defined as an End User. I will check my CAD manager if he can change that somehow.
I dont have a button like that. Wish I had

Ok, sorry about the button... I thought everyone could see it. 😞
Good luck with getting a support case in for this.

I think that button just an option for the EE's, so AutoDesk doesn't get bombarded with requests.
That seems reasonable.
Regarding this case I finally managed to send a support case and got the response that they can confirm this behavior and a change request has been logged for future release/servicepack.
So I am left with no results and out implementation of Vault is at a standstill.

Autodesk knows of this error and as far as I know this will be addressed in the next hotfix.
Fingers crossed.
