Custom iProperties to Main Pane in vault Pro 2013

Hello Everybody,

I am new to Vault Pro. I have a custom iproperty in each part file

which I want to display in the main pane as a column similar to

the Description column. Can anybody help me with this

Please bear with me if this is a very simple question

Thanks

Hi,...

Right click on any of the column headers and select Customize View.  Then pick Fields...., and from "Any" you can pick any available properties and add them to you view, then move them up or down as needed.

Hope this helps.

As Chris mentioned, you can customize the grid to show any properties you desire. But I wonder if your question goes deeper than that. Is it possible you tried that but you are not seeing the custom iproperties in the list of available properties?

If so, what you have to do is go to the Property Definition dialog in the Tools>Administration>Vault Settings>Behaviors tab. In this dialog, you can create a new User Defined Property (UDP) and from the mapping tab, search for that custom iproperty.

Additional note, if your files are in the Vault already, the properties won't be mapped in until the next check in.

Hope this helps,

Adam
