Checked In Date

I have only noticed the following since loading Vault Update 2:

When someone checks out a file, the "Checked In" column value becomes 1/1/0001 12:00 AM.

Is this a new event?

Thank you for the post. This is an issue introduced with Vault Update 2. It had been forwarded to the related team. We will let you know if any update on this. Before that, it would be okay to ingore the value as it does not affect the real data.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't this field used to change to the date and time someone checked it out.

I don't know of any other field that can now tell me when a file was checked out.  It is good to know that date so that I can jump someone who has kept a file checked out for 3 weeks and I've been waiting to use it.

Is there another way to know when something was checked out?

This field will save the value when the file checked in, but it does not record the time when checked out. Before the SP2 applied, the field was shown as blank for the checked out file rather the time when file was checked out.

It's a good suggestion to make a property to show the checked out time, we will consider it in future. Currently you may use "Comment" to tag the date checked out, see attached image as example.

(note, the Checked In field is blank as this screenshot from 2011 without SP2)

I am still using Vault 2010.

Was there ever a solution to this problem?

Do you mean to tell me that in the 6 years Vault 2010 was under active support this problem was never fixed?

How is that possible!

By the way this works under Windows 7 32, but not with Windows 7 X64.
