After making changes to the materials and colors in Inventor, parts reference a texture/bumpmap file which is outside the Vault working folder. How to solve?
Ah yes... seen this before. The only thing you can do is make a copy of that .bmp and put it inside your working project somewhere that IV and Vault can find it. I had one of these keeping me from checking in a large assembly for several days. There was no way to "purge" it... so I just made a new bitmap with the same name, and placed it in my "textures" folder. It's been all good since then.

Create a library folder, then place all of the image files inside that. Then update your links to resolve from that folder.
