Check-in fails due to bumpmap outside working folder. How to solve?

After making changes to the materials and colors in Inventor, parts reference a texture/bumpmap file which is outside the Vault working folder. How to solve?

Ah yes... seen this before.  The only thing you can do is make a copy of that .bmp and put it inside your working project somewhere that IV and Vault can find it.  I had one of these keeping me from checking in a large assembly for several days.  There was no way to "purge" it... so I just made a new bitmap with the same name, and placed it in my "textures" folder.  It's been all good since then.

Thanks!

Our customer have thousands of files with this problem, so obviously "break link" was not a solution.

Create a library folder, then place all of the image files inside that.  Then update your links to resolve from that folder.
