Cannot install DM18101310 after SR1SP1

Hi,

I recently installed the sub release 1 for vault pro 2014 SP1, then migrated my databases, opened vault to check that it works, then installed SP1 for SR1 and everything was still working.

Now I want to install update 1 for SR1 SP1 (downloaded on subscription site) and I can't install the client update (and so I didn't even try for the server).

I'm using windows 7 pro SP1 french x64 with vault pro 2014 SR1SP1 (18.101.3.0) french. I use Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2014 (french, from french downloaded files) and FDSU 2015 from RTM files with french language pack (only inventor installed yet plus factory design utilities from french download on subsription).

I'm the server and the client on a Dell M6700 (i7 3520M @ 2.90GHz, 8 Go of RAM) with SQL Server Express 2012 SP1. Everything works fine but when I try to install the update, I have a message saying that C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2014\Connectivity.Explorer.Document.Objects.dll was updated from a different way and it can't be modified now with this hotfix (see attached image in french).

I recently updated the AppManager which comes with 2015 release of FDS and Autodesk 360 but that the only component that could be shared by 2014 and 2015 products (and even AppManager should not impact 2014 as it's a  2015 soft).

Any idea of what's going wrong ?

Can you check the build of that object.dll file?  The hotfix speaks of the files being updated to the build number of 18.101.3.10.  Is it already there or higher?  Also, please note that there is a second hotfix for this, which if installed would have also updated those files.  It is my understanding that these hotfixes have been cumulative for awhile now.

Thanks,

Mark

Sounds like a conflict between version2014 and 2015. I would try to do the update on a computer with just the 2014 software. See if you can run the hot fix with a computer that only has the 2014 software installed.

The file was already in 18.101.3.20, I don't know why. Anyway I was able to install the 18.101.3.20 update so everything is OK. If I would not have been able to install the 18.101.3.20 I would have taken the files from another station with only 2014 products on it 😉
