3:  0507-00.dwg assign Item,create 3 Item. 100017,100018,100019

4:  0507-01.dwg assign Item, create a new one.100020

5:  Then 0507-01.dwg has 2 Item,100018,100020

6: How to achieve 0507-01' Item automatic associated with 100018?

During assign item you will have the chance to select a duplicate item to use.

After assigning item to the assembly, assign item to the part.

The second step of the assign item wizard will allow you to select duplicate items.

Right click in the farthest right column and click Select Replacement Item. (see attached image)

In the next dialog click Find.

Search for the desired item and double click it.

In the Select Replacement Item dialog make sure you check the checkbox next tot eh item you just searched for.

Click OK.

The file will then be assigned to the correct item.

    Assemble parts number more than a little word still have certain workload, whether the bom list according to the assembly parts only in mark automatic replacement, as shown in figure number etc.

If you are using Vault 2012, you can refine the automatic duplicate suggestion by modifying the Equivalence Value property to map to the properties you want assign items to use to find duplicate items.

This makes the accuracy of Autoassign First Duplicate much higher.

Check the item category in which the item will created. Make surethe  Equivalence Value property is associated to that category.
