Add pproperties to Vault

What's the best way to add some new properties in Vault, which can be used as view headings, to search on files etc?

Thank you for your posting. Would you please let us know your Vault product information -

  • which release- 2012, 2011 or earlier?
  • Which edition? Vault, Vault Workgroup, Vault Coloration or Vault Professional?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the quick reply. Thus you can refer to paper 'Vault 2011 Properties Introduction and Overview' to get a general idea of Vault properties system. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=15948799&linkID=9261341

detail instructions are available through Vault 2011 Help.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
