A good directory structure for Implementing Vault

Hi,

I am planning to upload around 1200 projects to Vault. Every project folder has directory structure as depicted in the attached file. The Inventor's .ipj file stays in 2MDL folder which also contains two sub-folders, i.e. parts and assemblies. Other fodlers contain files of different formats like .dwg, .igs, .stp, MS Office formats, etc. All of these file belong to a particular version of a given product. Some of the non-Inventor files are essential part of every project and some will appear occasionally.

First question: Will it be possible to maintain the same structure with Vault also? And is it a good structure to go with? (it is at least organized)

Second question: A variation of the same project may come up in future with mostly the same files and a few of them changed (including .docx, .xlxs, .ipt, .iam, .dwg, .idw, etc). How should we go for the creation of a new project? Should we copy the whole project folder with a new name and upload that to Vault with the new name?
