I searched and could not find it please forgive me if I missed it.
Finally installed vault basic 2014. Question is how do I back it up? I have been using scripts all this time. Our "IT" person bought us back up exec with sql agent.
Will the back up exec with sql agent work?
Do I still need to do a script instead?
If yes on script has it changed other than the year in the script......
I would recommend using the built-in backup functionality in ADMS console. This backs up both databases and files - whereas a SQL backup only backs up the databases.
Can you assit me in finding more info on how to do this. I am use to running a pre and post script for our nightly back up tape (well now its a cartridge)
