Utilising Used and Where Used information

We are trying to be able to search by "used" and "where used" data in the Vauult explorer to be able to isolate and select all parts, drawings and sub assemblies that appear in any given assembly.

The reason we are trying to do this is so that we can select a group of drawings and files in order to edit iproperties and export drawing formats for the upper assembly.

Clearly Vault has this data as you can see it in the "used" and "where used" but you cannot search by it or use it in a useful way.

Is it possible to access these properties and can they be mapped to a field?

We are using Vault Pro 2014
