How do i trigger a preview update on a file when this is released?

I wrote a program that releases all Drawing files i vault based on some filters i set? The problem now is that when i release the files the preview is dumped based on settings in vault. How do i trigger a new preview generation? of the released file.

Hello Kent,

One option that might work well is using the job server. If you have the job server enabled for your Vault, you can configure Vault so that it will create a "Synchronize properties and update view using Job Server" job on particular lifecycle state transitions. You can find some more information here: http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Vault/enu/Help/Help/0097-Administ97/0188-Job_Serv188/0191-Submit_J191.

can't we do the same thing using Coding. I have to update the drawing and include a stamp according to state. Suggest me some ideas if you know how to achieve this.
