We are planning on purchasing a new server with Oracle installed for an asset management software. I am interested in purchasing Topobase in the near future and I would like to use the new server with Oracle for it. Does anyone have a hardware and software configuration for Topbase (size and speed of server, which editions of Oracle, Server OS, etc)? Does anyone know if Topobase will work with Oracle Standard Edition, or only with Enterprise Edition?
Oracle 10 is recommended for Topobase 2008.
Topobase 2008 works only on Enterprise edition.
For the server OS, all oracle OS are supported by Topobase.
Size and speed of server is really depending of the size of your dataset and the number of concurrent users. You could ask Autodesk Consulting to know some typical configurations.
