Freeze & Crash when creating and publishing Map Books

When using Topobase client 2011 to create and publish map books, I am having issues with the program freezing and crashing.  The problem seems to occur when I am publishing the sheetset to DWF. A “severe File Error” message is displayed and the program crashes.  The publishing process starts and goes for a while but after a short time the “File Error” message is prompted followed by a crash.

My questions are:

-         Are there any known issues that occur when too many tiles are generated or the scale range is set to small?

-         What possible data issues would cause this crashing?

-         Anyone know of a fix for this?
