Redesign VENTING Analysis

Hello Moldflow Team.

 

There are several posts for the topic VENTING.

I think it is time to re-design the complete venting analysis.

 

1. In moldflow, it is a lot of work to create a venting along a split line.

    In other simulation programs, it is much easear to implement venting areas. There you can select a edge on 3D body or a group of nodes.

 

   So you do not have select each node / node by node.

 

2. put more informations in log file.

for example:

- venting pressure each time step

- for the warning message *306128* (air speed in the vent .... super sonic...) please include the node number in log file for the venting location this happens.

- if there is an increasing of the melt temperature in cause of high venting pressure, please include also the element number to locate the hot spot.

Additional comment from my side.

I think it is very important to calculate also the air temperature in the vent!

this should be an additional result plot!

 

Please see also the picture below. This picture shows the behavior of the air temperature under pressure.
