Why can't write coordinate to move components for animation?

As you'd probably found out by now,

It's because you're in Rotating Mode, and if you look at your Triad, one axis is selected, and the Angle box is waiting for an Input from you to say by how much you'd want the part to rotate...

Click on the 'Redefine alignment or position' button to go back, or enter an angular value in that angle box.
