Use Revit sheets to show in 3D model sectioned

Dear Autodesk,

 

Looking at the current way the export from Revit is made and how the sheets and views are visualized in BIM360, there would be an update that will have a big advantage and is not that hard to create. 

 

In many models (especially early in the project) the BIM is not developed into detail. And for some projects, it may even not be modelled in detail for different kind of reasons. 

But detailing can be very important to be shown in 3D to see how connections are made. So what would be nice if a sheet (floorplan or sections) is placed in the 3D model and the 3D model is cut. But you can still change the cut plane. But there are also many other reasons. Like very fast checking if there is a difference between 2D and 3D, of course, if all procedures are followed this can not happen, but we all know how it really goes. 

Dalux has this feature and it is the no. 1 used feature there, very useful. See link below:
