:smileymad: No, no, no, no, NO!  You cannot make tea with water just  from the hot tap!

You can make some sort of dubious beverage, but do not call it tea.  If it doesn't boil, it's not tea.

Root Beer. It's my caffeine of choice. :smileyvery-happy: Once I'm done this can I'm swapping over to lemonade though.

And an odd fact: I have never ever not even once had coffee.

Dood... seriously, you have not seen this tap. It is steamy-hot coming out of the tap, it would cause serious burns if it touched your skin, so, that sounds like tea-making water to me. :smileywink:

What brand do you drink. A few do have caffeine but most don't.

I know a few people who do not drink coffee. My wife included. I can't say she never drank any because on day we were hiking and got caught by a change in the weather. By the time we got out we were freezing. Coffee was the only hot beverage at the nearest gas station. I got her a cup. She not only drank it but enjoyed it. She's never accepted another one though

Nope.  That's still just hot water.  Very hot, I grant you, but still just hot water.  For tea it must boil, and no letting it sit post-boil before pouring.

Huh... dunno what happened to my post. ~shrugs~

As I was saying... my DH tends to get mixed up on that. He keeps the fridge stocked with 50% caffeinated sodas and 50% decaf. Whenever root beer or orange soda are involved, he tends to guess wrong. I told him he's just got to remember to read the labels on them (we don't stick to a particular brand, just get whatever is on sale).

Okay, you sounds like my British husband. :smileywink:

Sssssssh, don't tell him that I sometimes let it sit after a boil. He can't tell the difference anyway.

OK. I'll horrify some people and say that my favorite way to make tea is in the Microwave!:smileysurprised: I put the tea bag in the cup and cover it in cold water. Nuke it for 3 minutes and leave the tea bag in.

Yep, none of that scary pretend chai for me. I love Teavana's Maharaja chai Oolong tea mixed with a bit of their Samurai Chai mate. Just enough spicy and sweet, and really no need for sugar.

Rootbeer is the only soda I'll let myself drink. As a treat. Love the stuff.
