Oh, yes, most definitely a LOTR fan. I use this as my sigline on forums and it's engraved on the back of my ipad, lol.
I discovered my Dad's old red leather-bound edition of the trilogy when I was about 10 and I fell in love.
I do enjoy a good fantasy novel more than most other genres. I've got quite a few books by Eddings that I've reread a few times, and I've been recently revisiting McCaffrey. These folks have all done wonders for my vocabulary over the years (also a big Koontz fan, I used to keep a dictionary and thesaurus on my bedside table, my Mom got them for me because she was tired of me asking her all the time.).
If anyone is in St. Louis, or even passing through, I'm always up for a game of LOTR Trivial Pursuit (my husband isn't a fan and won't play with me because I'd trounce him into the ground faster than you could say 'my precious.').
