does anyone know how to actually predict the potential residual stresses on 3D type of analyses?? i know warpage is entirely related to it, but i would like to know if there is an animation such as the one you can see from the midplane approach...thanks
i dont think, there is actually any animation to show the residual stress especially for 3d meshing, but you may predict it with the help of the packing pressure and temperature.
You can try to export Moldflow results to other CAE software such as ANSYS, then run warp analysis to see the stress. But I just have little experience.
