Hi all,
I have a query regarding warp results got from between Dual domain mesh and 3D mesh
Dual domain match and reciprocal percentage are 88.7% and 87.2% respectively.
3D mesh - 6 layers between thickness used.
Deflection all effects
Dual Domain mesh 3D mesh
+1.0mm to +7.9mm | +3.7mm to +37.5mm |
Huge difference between dual domain mesh and 3D mesh. I am confused, Which result will be reliable.
Need your help!!

Normally, the deflections with DD mesh and 3D mesh are quite the same.
But I also met a case where they were clearly different.
Finally, the real shape of the part was closer to the DD results.
Several times, I noticed troubles in 3D simulations.
So, I don't consider them better than the DD ones.

Are you using the same cycle time for both analyses?
Have you looked into the thickness diagnostic of each model? are they similar in ranges?
just thinking of meshing problems (false chunky areas) or cycle time (larger cycle time for one model, because of the settings)
good luck!
