Pressure line

Hi Friends,

In actual parts near to weldline we can see the pressure lines. it looks similar to welding lines.

Is there any possibility to simulate or to predict these pressure lines in Moldflow ?

Hello Anoop,

There is a method in Moldflow to predict Pressure lines, for that you have to overlay fill time results in contour and Average velocity.

Then try to animate during packing phase near the weld lines, if the vectors are constantly moving during packing phase and also in filling phase pressure lines will not appear.

 ways to avoid them is to give slight thickness change to differ the pressure on both sides of the welding lines.
