Job Server Questions

We use a central server as our Job Server that stays on all the time.  When launching a fill analysis I don't get results streaming back (pressures, temperature, etc).  It seems to "hang" in the checking phase with nothing in the logs.  However if I restart Moldflow on my client computer it will show the progress in the logs but still no results (just "Transfering Data").  Even after the analysis is complete and I have all the results (including fill time) it still hangs on "Transfering Data".  Attached is a snip of the completed study with all the results but still "transfering data"

What data is it trying to transfer?  My computer doesn't need to be on for the analysis to complete, correct?  Basically I can start the analysis and then turn off my computer and go home, right?

Also, how can I get the results to stream during an analysis?

Are there suggested settings on both the server and client?

So I still have the same problem.

Have any one an idea how this issue is solvable?

You cannot turn our client computer off. When you do you will not get the results back automatically. you will have to log on to the server to get the results file manually.

Sometimes for large models and with a slow network connection it can take a while to get results

Even many times if we keep our client running too this happens.(Data Transfering)

Sometimes the Log files doesnot get updated even after the analysis got complete and resutls are available.

Any one has suggestion on this???

Hi All

We did a lot of improvements in that direction with 2012 (SP2 Now).

What is important with job sever is that amijm.exe and synergy.exe are defined as exceptions in the Firewall. Ideally the Firewall would be turned off to test if this works better.
