Importing assembly part and part insert and mesh without intersections

Please is it possible?

Can I import assembly (Part and part insert) and mesh without intersection problems?

Hello,

 

Yes, if the model of the Part and Part Insert are free form intersecting issues. Please see the following article:

The 'ignore contact' is now the default option in 2014, before meshing you should change the 'Mesh on assembly contact faces' on the CAD meshing tab to 'Precise match' to see if your model allows precision aligment of nodes when meshing. If there are any erros in your mesh intersection it may fail with this option. You should then go back and check your model in the CAD system.
