Importing SIMLAB Mesh into Autodesk

Dear Moldflow Users,

Is it possible to import the mesh generated in SIMLAB to Autodesk moldflow.?

If so, what is the type of file format to be imported to Autodesk Moldflow?

Thanks for your reply. But, I do not get any of the formats you mentioned.

The available formats in SIMLAB, when i go to file-->Export are

GDA
Parasolid

STL
VRML
Facet Geometry

Exporting in these formats are not usable in Autodesk.

Please advice.

*SIMLAB tool is mainly used for power train models.*

*There must be option to export FEM models. I never used this tool.*

*Better take help from Altair - tech support team. *

Hi,

As you are saying STL is available, what is the problem then? You can export as STL & import in Moldflow.

I have used simlab and it can export a surface or 3D mesh in Nastran format (so: *.bdf or *.nas).

No problem for Moldflow to read that in.

In Altair Simlab.

File -> Export -> Other

Here you can select the Nastran .bdf type
