Hi! I have different results for same study. The objective is to balance the filling between parts. Use 3D Mesh the filling is not balanced; use Dual Domain the filling is balanced. The parts have different thickness. In my opinion use 3D Mesh is more correct, but is true?
Hello,
You are right the 3D mesh is often better for the filling results especially if you try to simulate special shapes with no good match mesh (pipes in your case). However it's not true for the filling pressure. I notified lot of differences between DD and 3D especially for the PC polymers so be careful.
You are trying to balance the cavities with different size of gate. It's good for the filling but not good for the packing because the pressure drop is different for both and so for the packing efficiency to.
