Experiences with actual Moldflow 2014 and older Moldflows versions

Hello everybody,

What's your experiences with actual version Moldflow 2014 beside older Modflow versions? Now, we have Moldlfow 2014 installed ( only one week ) but I saw that the results are very different beside the older version we used previosly ( Moldflow 2012 ). The same part, same process parameters, everything same...one run in Moldflow 2014 and one run in Modflow 2012 but pressure different about 30%, why??? We used Moldflow 2012 for a long time and have feedback from our manufactory, mainly pressure results. The pressure results from 2012 are accurate with manufactory compared, but now we have Moldflow 2014 and the pressure results are about 30% lower and now, we don´t know what should we tell the customer. Same part but different results!

Please see the pictures in the attachments.

Thanks for your answers Martin

Hi,

Compared injection pressures made in one plastic parts, but with different qualities mesh (Dual Domain, 3D, 6-10 layers, Bias ratio). All calculated in Moldflow 2012 including cold and hot runners and cooling channels. Just last result 88.9MPa is calculated in Moldflow 2014. Real injection pressure on IMM is 180MPa.
