Cooling analysis abort

I get this message during the Analysis Cool check

Total Mbytes required for Cool analysis = 64665.57

Total Mbytes available for Cool analysis = 32976.13

** ERROR 702270 ** Not enough disk space available for Cool analysis.

** WARNING 98000 ** The following warning messages occurred more than 5 times:

Message No. Number of occurrences

701360 72

Analysis Check found 1 errors and 75 warnings

** WARNING 98000 ** The following warning messages occurred more than 5 times:

Message No. Number of occurrences

701360 72

The model is not such big to use as much memory as it states, in fact it's a midplane model. What can be happening here?

Thanks

Hi,

why the model requires more diskspace than expected, is hard to tell not seeing the actual study.
So too less information, but some comments:
- are the cooling circuit beams meshed 2 -3 times its own diameter? Shorter beams requires more memory (for runner system as well) (the reason is that each beam will create data on how related and influenced by the surrounding elements.)
- how many triangle elements and beam elements are there in the study? (cavity triangles, mold block triangles, cooling beam elements, runner beam elements)

The message 701360 states: Beam element element number has a very bad length/diameter ratio

The boundary element method requires that the beam elements in the model have a length that is at least 2,5 times its own diameter.
This can normally be met on cooling circuits, but in certain runner system cases, this requirement cannot be met.
This warning might be due to the runner system, and the analysis will continue though. The results need to be checked carefully, or if convergence is difficult, it could be due to these elements.

Hope this helps.

Or provide the study to local support, or at subscription center, for further investigation.

Regards,
Berndt
