Clamp force prediction?

Hi,

I am simulating a plastic housing of plastic wall thickness of less than 1mm (approx. 0.8).

I have some questions, should I simulate it with 3D or Dual Domain mesh?

I have doubt with clamp force. Below are attached two pictures of my part showing the injecting direction (-ve Z-axis) and the core mold direction (+ve Z-axis). There are two sliders in Y-direction. Parting line in in the Z-axis

Can you confirm that the Moldflow solver will give correct values for the clamp force with the coordinate axis that I am using?

With regards

Karmakar S.

I think it is better to use the Dual Domain mesh for that kind of part.

To get a correct prediction of the clamp force, you just have to put the clamp force in the Z axis, as you have done.
