3D-Solid mesh: Export fiber orientation tensor in *.ele format

Hello,

I did my moldflow simulation with a 3D-Solid mesh (MFI 2014 Ultimate). Is it possible to export the fiber orientation tensor in *.ele format. Actually I can only export in *.nod format.

I need the *.ele format for import in CONVERSE.

Hi,

yes, it is possible.
To be able to export 3D fiber result as *.ele create a new plot such as:

New Plot > Fiber orientation tensor on elements

Then you can export this as Patran and *.ele file.

I did not find this export (.ele) format in "Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight Premium 2014".

Is it limitted to "Ultimate" licesne ??

Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight Premium
or
Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight Ultimate
