2010 on XP 64-bit

Hi, I install on XP 32-bit and it's OK!!!

The problem is on XP 64-bi sp2.

On macrovision.com i found 3 archives created for this platform:

lmgrd.exe (lmgrd_x64_n6.zip)
lmutil.exe (lmutil_x64_n6.zip)
lmtools.exe (lmtools_x64_n6.zip)

All version 11.7

But the file adskflex.exe was not found.

If i start lmtools.exe the application run, but without adskflex.exe donĀ“t recognize the license file.

In the debug.log file there's write:
(lmgrd) FLEXnet Licensing (v11.7.0.0 build 73797 x64_n6) started on .......(IBM PC) (8/5/2009)
(lmgrd) Copyright (c) 1988-2009 Acresso Software Inc. All Rights Reserved.
(lmgrd) US Patents 5,390,297 and 5,671,412.
(lmgrd) World Wide Web: http://www.acresso.com
(lmgrd) License file(s): C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk Network License Manager\license.dat
(lmgrd) lmgrd tcp-port 27001
(lmgrd) Starting vendor daemons ...

(lmgrd) Starting vendor daemon at port 2080
(lmgrd) Using vendor daemon port 2080 specified in license file
(lmgrd) Started adskflex (pid 3080)
(adskflex) FLEXnet Licensing version v11.4.100.0 build 50818 i86_n3
(adskflex) The vendor keys don't support vendor daemon, exiting

Any ideas?

If you have a DVD, the license manager can be installed from there.
If not, just install AMI, and choose the option to install the license server during install.

You need to install the Autodesk Moldflow license manager, which is specific.

Please contact your local support.

Yes, in fact it is that he I have done.

I have install AMI, Autodesk Network License Manager and License Manager (Moldflow).
But, with XP 64bit the lmtools.exe, lmutil.exe and lmgrd.exe don't work with 64bit.
I download this files from:
http://www.globes.com/support/fnp_utilities_download.htm

But the version is 11.7 and the adskflex.exe (incluse in Moldflow DVD) is version 11.1.

Have you got any ideas?!?
thanks

Are you having trouble with the 32-bit license app on XP 64-bit or just looking for a 64-bit FlexLM installation?

Hi, install Moldflow in XP 32bit is OK.

The problem is 32-bit license app on XP 64-bit because the version of FlexLM (11.7) and adskflex (11.4) is different.
Have you got AMI in XP 64bit?!?

Hi,

I don't fully understand what you are trying to do and really don't understand why you are not using the Autodesk License Manager that is provided with the installer, but here are a few pointers:
1) the Moldflow Insight installer will automatically determine whether you have a 32 bit or 64 bit Windows version and install the corresponding version.
2) The Autodesk License manager used by the Moldflow products is not the latest FlexLM. The Autodesk Moldflow licenses are designed to work with the ADLM that is provided with the install, NOT with the latest and greatest FlexLM.

I hope this helps.

Installation on the CD will work for XP64 bit.
The license manager is not a 64 bit application, so will be installed by default in c:\program files(x86), and run as a 32 bit applications on a 64 bit system.
I wouldn't recommend to change the default.

Easiest way would be to conatc your support.
Also, when you launch AMI, and it failed, it offers you to go to a troubleshooting webpage.
Have a look there.

But the problem are the files into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk Network License Manager
with XP 64-bit they don't work because they're made for 32-bit.

If you update these files for XP 64-bit:
http://www.globes.com/support/fnp_utilities_download.htm
the Autodesk Network License Manager start but the adskflex.exe don't work because it's only for XP 32-bit.

I hope to be does me to understand.

The Autodesk Moldflow license manager will work on a 64 bit machine.
It is perfectly acceptable to have a 32 bit application on a 64 bit system.
If your original installation doesn't work on your 64 bit, it is for another reason.
I strongly suggest to go through the install guide, and to repeat the install step by step.
Be sure you install as administrator.

You should be able to create a service using lmtools.

Remove the changes you did, and probably reinstall the license manager.
We are not supporting v11.7, as we know it will not work with our product.

Ok, I've got few questions:
1 - Why Flexlm Service don't start after the installation?!? But in XP 32bit yes
2 - If I update Flexlm Service at 11.7 version it start (but 11.4 version don't start)?!?

The steps are:
1 - install AMI
2 - install license manager
3 - configurate LMtools
OK?!?

But, after these steps, if I control in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services , the FlexLM don't start. Why?!?

Your case should typically go through the support channel.

Installation of license manager on XP64 is supported and working.
Follow the troubleshooting guide on the web, or contact support.

Best regards

Hi Biricio,

Please note that the "The Autodesk Network License Manager is not tested or supported on 64-bit operating systems, such as WindowsĀ® XP Professional 64-bit" statement is relevant to AutoCAD. I would not automatically assume that this applies to the Autodesk Moldflow Products.

Again, I would strongly suggest you to contact someone from the Autodesk Moldflow Support team. These are dedicated support engineers for the Moldflow products and can either help you with the license manager problem, provide you with a work around or consult developers when required. This will be the most efficient way to resolve the problem you are experiencing.
