The result of the flow front temperature in a dual-domain analysis (suggested by mold flow) is often not real. I am attaching an image of a part where we see that there is no difference in temperature of the flow front, and this is not real. The result is true if I make a 3D analysis. Why? If the part is Dual Domain.
The material used for the analysis is ABS.
without having the Dual Domain model, it is diffcult to find the reason.
A reason for the Dual Domain model could be that an area is identified thin, thin and filled early, and temperature drops quickly/more than expected.
To evalute this result, use result scaling (Right-click the temperature result: Properties: tab Scaling):
- for example: first look at temperature between 255 to 263C : to see it looks as expected
- then look at temperature between 89 to 100C (increase upper limit if needed)
- set result properties, tab Part Display : Edge display off // Surface display: Transparent
This helps to identify area with the low temperature, and to see what model looks like in that area.
