MPA 8.1 to Win 7

Hi

I have a client with MPA 8.1 that is thinking of changing the O.S. from XP Pro to Win 7.

Is that possible? By the way the license is nodelock

Best regards,

Tiago Marques

Hi,

MPA8.1 was released about 4,5 years ago, and since the release of AMA2010, about 3 years ago, the licensing system changed.
MPA8.1 is using the previous licensing software Moldflow Product Security, which is a no longer supported licensing system.

If upgrading the OS, this will change the Moldflow license server information, and you will get security failure for MPA8.1. Further, MPA8.1 is not supported on Windows 7 platform. (Now, even if not a supported platform, it might run, but not guaranteed).

If you still want to use MPA8.1, then OS should not be changed.

Otherwise, upgrade to ASMA2013, that will run on Windows 7.
It will also be a floating, network license.

Regards,
Berndt
