CAE Data exchange

Hallo,

reading the Autodesk Símulation Moldflow Compare Website http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/compare/index?siteID=123112&id=14920771 there is a data exchange feature to autodesk simulation multiphysics from autodesk moldflow advisor ultimate.

Where is a documentation or tutorial available for that feature to transfer simlation results from moldflow to simulation multiphysics?

BR

Hello,

this is available in the in the wikihelp:
http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Simulation_Mechanical/enu/2013/Help/0031-Autodesk31/0237-Setting_237/02...

There is also an validation document:
Autodesk Moldflow Structural Alliance 2012
Validation Report: Additional Data Mapping to Structural Analysis Packages

which you can access from subscription center:

http://subscription.autodesk.com/

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Berndt

Hello,

wikihelp describes at section Use Moldflow Results - Step 2: "For parts that correspond to the plastic part(s) to be analyzed in Moldflow, set the Element Definition: Material Model to Moldflow. This is an anisotropic material model."
Where is this selection?
Selection Dialog Material Model

Kind regards
Bernd

Hello,
regarding the analysis type in Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics.
The Moldflow element definition is available in Analysis type:
Linear or Non-linear

If you for example select Linear > Static Stress with Linear Material Model
and then enter Element Definition you will see the Material Model: Moldflow

Or if you for example select Nonlinear > MES with Nolinear Material Model
and then enter Element Definition you will see the Material Model: Moldflow

If you have further questions about using Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics,
please, post in forum http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Simulation-Mechanical/bd-p/396

Regards,
Berndt
