I would love to see the capability to easily plot frequency response functions (FRFs), or transmissibility plots, in an absolute frame of reference rather than the ASM default frame of reference, which is relative to the constraints.
We perform random vibration testing on our space-bound hardware to simulate launch loads and need to correlate test accelerometer outputs with analysis response predicts. Since ASM can only output relative responses, it is difficult to accurately correlate response magnitudes with the test data.
Most helpful would be a similar nodal plotting function currently available in post processing by using the Power Spectrum Density graphing option. This is a great tool, but unfortunately doesn’t provide a direct comparison with test data due to the differing reference frames.
Thanks.
