simulation 360

Hi

I started using simulation 360.

Is this the same simulation as simulation mechanics?

Can I drop questions about sinmulation 360 into this group?

Hi mechamania,

I believe the underlying software of Simulation 360 is the same as Simulation Mechanical. But I do not know if all of the features of Mechanical are in 360.

For example, in the Sim 360 forum you asked about how to open an Inventor assembly. The obvious answer that you will get from this group is "File > Open" and set the File Type to Inventor. Smiley Wink If you have already tried that and the option is not available, this would indicate some code differences. Perhaps someone here is running 360 and knows the answer. Otherwise, my guess is that you need to open your Inventor model with Fusion and then transfer it to Mechanical.

Hi folks,

As of Sept 2013, we have two product offerings:

Sim 360 is a cloud-enabled offering, a partner to Fusion 360.

Sim 360 Pro is a bundle of our Simulation products, with meshing and solve conducted on the cloud. This includes the products Sim Mechanical, Sim CFD, Robot Structural Analysis, and Sim Moldflow (in the Sim 360 MF bundle).

Details can be found on our website:

Kind regards,

Peter Maxfield
