i have installed the autodesk simulator, is it possible to import a solidworks part into the simulation?
Do you use Autodesk Simulation CFD? If so you have the possibility to transfer the geometry directly from SolidWorks to CFD via the CAD connection. A manual alternative to this is to export a parasolid file which can be imported by CFD. For both possibilities the required license fraction has to be available.
Does that help?
i am sorry, i am using autodesk simulation multiphysics student edition
and it does not read any parasolid files! what can i do?
In SW, save your model to CAD neutral formats such as .igs, .step, .sat etc.
Simulation Multiphysics will read above CAD neutral files.
