What would be the recommended route to create a hand-built beam model from a spreadsheet or other data source? Is there a scripting method or neutral file format that will let me create it from scratch in an automated fashion rather than building manually or importing from CAD?
What I want to do is create the model from a spreadsheet or text file that lists the type (i.e part/sfc/layer numbers), size, postions, and orientations of each beam. Or it could contain the endpoints and connectivity if required.
