air flow problem

I'm trying to do a CFD with a model of the air volume. The air passes from a relatively large area through narrow spaces and into another large area. If I set the mesh size small enough to get nodes within the narrow areas, the number of elements for the whole model is huge. Is there a way to mesh with large tets in the big open spaces and smaller ones in the narrow passageways?

Hi,

I would suggest to first generate a global coarse mesh (as coarse as possible) with a high percentage in "Global Mesh Setting".

And then locally select the nodes (use rectangle select) and right click add refinement points. I just used this method this afternoon, gives desired results.

Regards,

Shakeel
