Wind Load

How do I apply a wind load to a closed vessel with a vertical of 27' seam to seam and an O.D. of 6' ?

Not seeing option for that in Selection and Setup.

Hi,

If you are looking to perform a CFD analysis, then you should look at Autodesk Simulation CFD. Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2014 no longer supports a CFD analysis.

If you have Multiphysics 2013 or earlier versions, you will need to perform the fluid flow analysis first. Then go to Setup > Loads > Loads From File to take the pressure results from your cfd analysis (performed in Multiphysics) and apply it to your structure.

If you know the pressure distribution from another CFD analysis or based on standards or from your own measurements, you may applying a variable pressure load. This allows you to apply pressure with varying values based on the x y and z positions, such as, the leading surface might experience higher pressure than the trailing surface. You can access this command from Setup > Loads > Variable Pressure.

Other than that, I don't know any other way.

Regards

Ilyas
